Antoh (Antoh Mansueto, Naples 1960) is an italian artist working in Milano. He exhibited in Italy, Germany, USA, France, Romania. He collaborates with italian galleries (at the moment AICA Gallery - Andrea Ingenito Contemporary Art - Milano and Galleria Ess&rre - Roma) and exhibits in contemporary art fairs in Italy and France. He exhibited in galleries and museums like Museo Emlio Greco - Sabaudia LT.
The main master of Antoh was Bruno Munari, artist and designer signer of the second "Manifesto Futurista" and present in MOMA, NY.
Antoh studied the nude at Osservatorio Figurale atelier in Milano and studied ceramics. His artworks is told to be a personal mix of abstract surrealism, graffitism, deconstructivism and art brut. A recognizable graphic language: Antoh creatures are caracterized by a flat, compressed, and organized chaos. His subjects are a way to describe the contemporary western society.
After the year 2000, he painted series like ENTROPICA (about the wasting of emotional energy), MULTIVERSE (a deconstructivist way to show the chaotic and multi-dimensional social space of our age), and Archetype-Prototype (about the circularity of time). The shape of time is called KRONOIDE by antoh.
The artist loves the Paul Watzlavick theories and Alexander Lowen "bioenergetics" in psicology, the liquid society theory by Zigmund Baumann and the ancient Tao te ching.
President of www.villadarcore.eu association, in 2010 Antoh obtained for Accademia di Brera-Milano a new 1500 sqm restoration laboratory in Villa Borromeo D'adda in Arcore (MI), now working.
He launched the artist group Artintensive with Midori McCabe, Paolo Manazza and other artists.
