Athanasia Kekempanou

Athanasia Kekempanou is a visual artist born in Athens, Greece in 1975.
In 2001 she graduated with honors from Athens School of Fine Arts with a B.A., majoring in Painting and Art Education and won the first prize of Yannis and Zoe Foundation in Athens.
At her artwork she embraces a range of materials and media that range from ephemeral environments and installations, photography , video and media art to  more traditional forms of visual arts like drawing and painting. Through experimentation, and investigation of  the materials and media she uses each time ,she is seeking  for connections and correlations between art and social or psychological conditions inspired sometimes by contemporary life in overpopulated modern cities and others from her  personal experiences and emotions  .Her work has been showcased at many group exhibitions among which is included 'The story of the Creative', See | Exhibition Space , Long Island City, NY in 2013.
Since 2015 Athanasia Kekempanou lives and works in Bonn in Germany.
