Katie began writing about the visual arts as Deputy Editor of Barcelona Metropolitan magazine in 2007; since then her articles and reviews have appeared in various international publications including Canadian Art, Border Crossings, and Time Out: Barcelona. She is a doctoral student in Art History at the University of Toronto and is currently assisting with a major exhibition opening in 2014 at the Ryerson Image Centre, on the history of war images in the press. She previously worked at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, on the exhibitions "Félix Thiollier. Photographies" and "Charles Marville: Photographer of Paris". Katie holds an MA in photographic studies from Ryerson University's School of Image Arts.
