Metropolitan Area Photographers Spotlight Women’s Strength

The Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage affairs is presenting an exhibit to remind us of the importance of Women’s History Month. Meredith Lippman and Eileen Gaughan of the Cultural Affairs Office curated an exhibit of 38 photographs for In Her Strength, an exhibit by 24 photographers that illustrate women’s courage, energy, tenacity and fortitude. The Year draws to a Close

Saturday, November 27, 2010 The Year draws to a Close Amazingly, the year is almost over. I am involved with filling out paperwork for 2011 exhibits. New Website and Solo Exhibit opening

Art Works in Empty Storefront

Binaries Exhibition

The hob'art cooperative gallery members have been invited by the Watchung (NJ) Art Center to show their exhibition, 'Binaries,' from February 1st through 26th. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Sunday, 2/7, 1-4 pm. The exhibition is inspired by Webster’s definition of something made up of two opposite parts, such as night and day, good and evil, or old and new. Artistic Month

In between working on new prints, October was a month of delivering art, attending receptions, participating in forums, and promoting new ideas for the hob'art cooperative gallery mission of outreach to the community. The Hoboken Annual Art Tour was a success in spite of the rain and cold. Over 130 people visited the hob'art members exhibit at the Eureka Gallery, 259 First Street, which was open to the public through October 29th. [more]

Fall Art Season Beginning

Summer seems to be ending in a blur of rainfall and floods. Hope Fall will be dryer and more productive. My accepted print, "Blue House, Tortola," will be shipped this week to the International Society of Experimental Artists 2009 exhibition to be held at the Banana Factory Museum, Bethlehem, PA, from August 26th to October 2nd. Studio Upheaval

A big change in my working life is about to occur. I have decided to give up the big studio I have used for over 13 years. The owners of the buildings want to sell, and therefore, they have been lax in the upkeep of the premises. Also, I find that I am using my home studio more often because my photographic and digital equipment is there. Short Days

Turn Back Time The days are getting shorter.  It is not my favorite time of the year.
