Joan Palmer is now in her mid-seventies and almost immobile with arthritis, yet she continues to make the most amazingly coloured glass beads by working Italian Murano glass rods at high temperatures into large glass beads. Her latest work on display at Artsite Galleries Salon Christmas 2010 exhibition are based on her earlier journeys through the Australian Kimberley country of northern Western Australia.
