The artistic goal of my work is to explore and share the very elemental energy of our beings through and within my paintings. The process of creating propels me on a pathway of pervasive meditative thought. Each painting is the fruition of prayer and breath with each viewer's interpretation transitioning the work to resonate their own emotions.

My work is an invitation to breathe. To concentrate on breath means to contemplate, meditate & or pray. Layers of color added and subtracted over a base of gold leaf exhibits a journey of the spirit. Built on previous personal experiences, bold colorful layers explore a wide range of cultural, social and soulful elements encouraging one to wander and explore their own destiny and purpose.

Spending 12 years on the Hawaiian Islands gifted me with a deep appreciation of our human ties to a spiritual world and initiated my courtship with the vivid language of color. Today I share my time between two distinct worlds -the beauty of Mexico calls to my heart while my family in the states warm and support my inner being.

I share my work as a mark of my personal healing process. Creating is healing, in any form or medium for any ailment. It is not always about the end result, but the path we shared while "in" the process.
