I will be refining my artist's profile here and completing labelling of my art works. All works here are copywritten and are my own creations through my lifetime.

I was born and raised in Northwest Iowa amidst the wonders of nature. Running through fields, flowers, cornfields and the beauty of butterflies with Sox, the family dog, was the way I spent many days. I ran in the blizzards of winter and collected rocks and feathes that were exposed in the fields by the winter winds. When the wind would blow and storms came, I loved to dance in the in the thunderstorm. My Dad would call out the door of the house and say, "get in here you nut". In the context of my relationship with nature, I wrote poetry, made art, wrote, took care of baby animals that I found, and ran after foxes that went through town so that I could see them. Ran for hours outside jumping bushes and anything else. It was a magical time to grow with nature.

In 1970-72, Professor John Day was my first teacher in art at Mount Marty College. After the education  that I had with Professor Day, most other art professors just let me develop my own statement as an artist. From 1977 to 1978, Professor Jan Zach at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR was my professor in sculpture. Years later, I was told that my Interdisciplinary Professors (Dance, Music and Sculpture)s considered that music inspired my artwork. I work in an interdisciplinary manner because, for me, the different expressions of art and creativity are all spokes on a wheel of life.

Since the age of 5, I have been writing poetry. Also began drawing, painting and making sculptures. I also like to compose music and write.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With thoughts of my parents Ron and Mary Ann Kelly. They have been people who made positive and graceful contributions to their community.
I say: "The Heart knows the journey to where the Heart is".
I was always driven to write poetry, paint, sculpt and compose music and organize thought, I knew that creating was a reflection of God's nature; that the world was a Creation of a Great and Eternal Love. When I was a child, my parents nurtured that understanding of God.
