Bow Arts is seeking a skilled and experienced artist educator to lead weekly whole-class primary school workshops as part of its Education programme, working across different year groups to explore practical art making techniques, with a specific focus on developing skills.
This project aims to:
- Develop children’s art skills and creativity
- Make learning accessible, engaging and inspiring for learners
- Reinforce learning from across the curriculum
- Raise children’s aspirations and broaden their experiences
The role will entail delivering a series of simple, practical art lessons focusing on development of skills including drawing, painting, 3D, collage, and printmaking. You will be expected to provide written planning for sign off by the school and Bow Arts, oversee and manage the class, liaise with, and report to, the Deputy Headteacher and Bow Arts project manager as appropriate, and take part in the Bow Arts evaluation process.
This project will take place at Chase Lane Primary School, York Road, Chingford, London, E4 8LA, with classes on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in term time from 9 January until 12 July 2019.
