This is 5 Questions. Each week, we send five questions to an artist featured in Under the Radar, our weekly email highlighting the best art on the ArtSlant network. This week we seek answers from Dat Vu.
What are you trying to communicate with your work?
Most of the time, it's about emulating sleepwalking.
What is an artist’s responsibility?
An artist is responsible for their intention, and the implications of their work, even if the work is personal. Once an artist puts their work out there, be it online or in public spaces, I think it is their responsibility to answer for their work to some extent.

Show us the greatest thing you ever made (art or not)?
This is a tough question! The greatest thing I probably ever made is zucchini bread, but at the moment I don't have any oven to bake and I don't have any photo evidence! My friends who ate it can testify though.
Tell us about a work you want to make but never will:
Probably an arthouse movie.
Who are three artists we should know but probably don’t?
