FAQ – SALESROOM: HOW DO BUYERS FIND MY WORK FOR SALE?
How do buyers find my work in the Salesroom?
Our SalesRoom has two mechanisms for our buyers to find work:
Search - by artist name, keyword, tag, color, medium, size, price, subject, genre. This function is used extensively by our buying audience. Remember, properly tagging your work is critical, as is carefully selecting which works you want to sell as originals or prints.
Curated Collections - we also have a wide range of curated collections. These include our Showcase Winning artists (all of their work automatically does into our curated collections). Our curated collections include works that our SalesRoom curation team select and present based on various criteria (see below). On occasion ArtSlant also invites professional curators from around the world to select and assemble catalog collections for our buying audience.
There are other ways of gaining exposure in the SalesRoom. Here are our FAQs with some hints:
How can I get into curated collections?
Once an artist has registered for a Standard Profile or Portfolio Website, they can add their work into the SalesRoom. The SalesRoom team reviews the work and accepts it for sale as long as the image is of good quality and there are no copyright or other problems with the content.
Then the ArtSlant Curation Team goes through all work and curates our special collections. We try to give a wide range of work and artists in our curated collections. Selections are made based on quality of work, the artist profile presentation, and thematic appropriateness. All Showcase and Juried Select Winners from our Showcase Series competition are automatically allowed into curated collections.
The ArtSlant Curated Artist box shown on the first page of the SalesRoom (Purchase Art) are randomly chosen and displayed from all of our curated collections. This is an automatic pull of images from all artists in our collections. We wanted this space to be a free space for exposure and highlights for our curated artists.
