In this report we focus on the work Schilderwälder (sign forests) from World War II by Martin Dammann exhibited at the Kunstsaele in Berlin. Six large-format banner prints are a precise selection from a total of 700 images, acquired by Martin Dammann from a militaria-trader for a private photo archive. We attend the opening reception of the exhibition Martin Dammann: Aus Dem Über Heraus, and Laura Jung (Manager of Kunstsaele Berlin) provides us with an introduction to the Kunstsaele Berlin. The interview with Martin Dammann focuses on the background of the project and the artist explains the procedure for the selection of photos. The show runs until March 01, 2014.
