Politics of Light is an exhibition of installation, video and site-specific work by Jan Tichy, located at 196 Stanton Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Jan Tichy's work bridges the dimensions of social politics and artistic method through the interplays of light, spatial context, technology and ephemeral narrative. A discussion of the interplay of these themes will bring together the artist with Flash Art Magazine Editor, Nicola Trezzi and Columbia University Associate Professor of Architecture, Planning and Preservation Mabel Wilson.
A public program in connection with Politics of Light, artist Jan Tichy with Nicola Trezzi of Flash Art and Mabel Wilson of Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation will engage with themes illuminated in the exhibition on view.
