In the ordinary mind, we perceive the stream of thoughts as continuous, but actually there is a gap between each thought. When the past thought is past, and the future thought has not yet arisen, there is a gap in which the nature of mind is revealed. The work I do is concerned with this understanding of dependent arising, the multiple causes and conditions creating mind’s patterns and projections of thoughts and emotions that like clouds blocking the sun obscure this ever-present clear inherent awareness. This awakened mind we all have is beyond suffering of all kinds, beyond hope and fear, beyond the “this and that” of dualistic thinking. Knowing, discovering and realizing this vast unborn space of clarity is the utmost uplifting good news.
