Where are they now? ArtSlant Prize 2009-2012

Halfway through the 2013 ArtSlant Prize, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look back and see where previous ArtSlant Prize winners are in their careers.

Wow! What a group! Biennales, Public and Private Collections, new galleries and more prizes! This group is getting at it! Many thanks to these great artists who have stuck with us over the years. We are very excited to hear of all the great things they are up to!

ArtSlant Prize 2010

Chantel Foretich

"So much has happened since my wonderful ArtSlant prize in 2010, and, I have to say nothing yet has topped showing in the AQUA fair in Miami!"

Last summer Chantel Foretich opened QF – Quattlebaum Foretich Gallery in East Hampton, a curatorial project space in the bottom fourth of a traditional East Hampton home built in 1905.

In the past fall, Chantel built an installation as part of Peekskill Project - a shrunken version of Peekskill, which was displayed in a dark warehouse. And she is looking forward to building a piece referencing The Heart is a Lonely Hunter for Residency Unlimited's benefit this summer.
