It is our pleasure, to invite you to submit a piece of art for Inspiration Corporation’s One Inspired EveningArt Auction, to beheld on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Chicago Plumbers Union Hall.
In an atmosphere of dignity and respect, Inspiration Corporation helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency through the provision of social services, employment training and placement, and housing. One Inspired Evening is Inspiration Corporation’s premier fundraising event and 100% of the event proceeds help to support their services. The generosity demonstrated by you and other artists by submitting art will insure that this will be our most successful fundraising event to date.
We have three distinct categories of artist participation:
*ESTABLISHED (professional artists who make art for a living)
*EMERGING (artists working consistently to become Established artists)
*INSPIRED (guests or friends of Inspiration Corporation who enjoy making art)
This year we are pleased and honored to report Firecat Projects is offering another month long exhibition in its space opening December 22, 2016 to the first place winner of the Emerging category. We will again be offering cash prizes for other categories: other first place winners will receive: $500 in the Established category and $100 in the Inspired category. Second place winners will receive: $300 in the Established category, $150 in the Emerging category and $75 in the Inspired category.
On the attached Registration Form, please fill out all the details regarding your submission. Please return all forms via e-mail, fax or mail and e-mail a jpeg digital photo of your piece by December 15, 2013, or sooner if possible. We would also greatly appreciate your recommendation of other artists whom you think would like to support the work of Inspiration Corporation. Please submit the Artist Recommendation Form or simply email over the names and email addresses as soon as possible. As a participating artist, you will receive the following benefits:
*The opportunity to participate in a juried art auction with no entry fee co-curated by photographer and business owner Steven E. Gross, artist and managing director of Firecat Projects Stan Klein and artist and founder/director of the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative Deborah Maris Lader.
*The chance to compete for cash prizes and the opportunity for your own show at Firecat Projects.
*Your name included on event signage and on each guest’s hand-held bidding device.
*Your information, a photograph of your donated art, and a link to your website will appear on the Inspiration Corporation website for one year.
*Contact information of the purchaser of your work (if provided by guest).
*One non-transferable entry (one per artist) to One Inspired Evening and an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for your guests.
*The opportunity to help Inspiration Corporation in aiding people affected by homelessness and poverty make strides towards a better life of self-sufficiency.
