We give un(der)represented artists an online platform to showcase their work in an aesthetically pleasing way while also seeking out distinctive exhibition opportunities for them.
Greene Contemporary produces monthly exhibitions and also represents a vetted group of un(der)represented artists with a major goal of enhancing exposure and advancing careers. Greene Contemporary is seeking to break the traditional mold of a gallery by providing a dynamic e-venue for collectors, art lovers and exhibition seekers to engage with.
Greene Contemporary opened in March 2006 in Sarasota, Florida. Greene Contemporary moved to 9 Clinton St. on the Lower East Side of New York City in September 2008,. In August 2009, Greene Contemporary closed its physical space.
Understanding that the landscape of the art world has changed dramatically over the past 5 years, Greene Contemporary seeks to uncover a new gallery model with a specialized focus on un(der)represented artists that exists virtually, at least for the time being.
