Art Opening "Retrospective" A Celebration of the First Anniversary of Kokoro
Once upon a time, or so the story goes... Kokoro Studio celebrates its October anniversary highlighting its illustrious lineup from the previous year. Featuring work from Maria Berrio, Casey McGonagle, Shinyung Schwartz, Kristin Farr, Gregory Ito, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Yuriko Katori, and Sebastien Roux.
"Light here is distant though still similar to the city that you once knew. The house you have, the beautiful space has been host to many artists, friends, and new neighbors from years down the line. Time feels different though the ways in which the world turns resembles the old. The city is cleaner, the tenderloin having pushed back its soot, the persons that once scampered down the lanes; lines of street and curb have been pushed back.
The world is a different place, though you are still similar-still bright, cheerful, always eclectic with art coming out your limbs like leaves of a tree, dropped off in the fall of canvas and watercolor. Things are new but you are still you. The future is a beautiful place, one that grows and glows brighter with your presence."
