DESCRIPTION

The public is invited to a free opening reception for the Arts Council of the Morris Area’s latest juried exhibition entitled WHIMSY, featuring 33 works by 29 artists who live or work in New Jersey. Curated by Mary-Kate O’Hare, Ph.D., Associate Curator of American Art at the Newark Museum, the exhibit showcases these artists’ unique and creative interpretations of the theme in varied media ranging from painting and photography to silver, copper, wood, glue/newspaper and mixed media.  The works express the poetic, the unanticipated as well as joy, humor and fancy.
