The mission of the CAPF is to collect, preserve, and interpret international Fine Art Photography with a focus on the art created by Miami-Dade County residents, Americans, Cuban born immigrants (refugees, asylum seekers members of the local community) and all residents of the area. The timeline the Foundation collect and promote Photography goes from the World War II era to the present. To complement its educational mission and to provide a broader historical context, the CAPF may promote works of photography outside of this time frame and nationalities when appropriate.
