The highlight of this year’s Deering Estate Festival of the Arts is a curated invitational show that features Artists from the Deering Estate at Cuter Artist in Residence Program, The Fountainhead Residency and Studios, and Invited Exhibitors. Curator Ralph Provisero invites the viewer to discover artistic interjections placed throughout the historic grounds of the Deering Estate. This year we welcomed The Fountainhead Residency and Studio program and selected artists to join forces with featured Artists in Residence from the Deering Estate at Cutler. Unique elements of this exhibition include spontaneous poetry creation and readings by the fire circle, and a traveling performance piece that “tours” the site. Dialogues develop between the space and artists with some works confronting the viewer, some on the periphery, and some hidden in plain sight. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets. Parking is free.

Deering Estate Artists in Residence feature Christina Petterssen, Lucinda Linderman, Alex Trimino, Antonia Wright, Mia Leonin with Carlos Ochoa, Diego Quiros, Dona Altemus, Cherie Clark. Representing Fountainhead Residency Program are artists Rowan Smith, and Caitlin Berrigan. Invited from the Fountainhead Studios Artists are Dona Altemus Lori Nozick, Don Lambert, Jenny Brillhart, PJ Mills, Sri Prabha, William Keddell, Natalya Laskis, Kerry Phillips, Tom Bollinger, Felipe Kaizedo, Kerry Phillips, Moira Holohan, and Judith Robertson. Special invited exhibitors include Robert Huff and Anja Marais.

The Deering Estate Festival of the Arts provides cultural engagement for all ages, offering literary, musical and artistic experiences for youngsters, to presenting a world-class exhibition, concerts and informative lectures for the most sophisticated patron.
