DESCRIPTION

Please join us on Saturday, August 20 for the opening of "Made in the U.S.A. Part II", a multimedia group exhibit that looks at what it means today to be “made” in the U.S.A. The exhibit will be on view through Sunday, September 11.

Featuring: Atlas, Toa Castallanos, Billy M. Duffo, Daniel Garcia, Antonio Guerrero, Vince Herrera-(Bad Panda), Richard Kurtz, Lopez-Ramos, MANO, Tony Mendoza, Aurora Molina, Janet M. Muller, ...George Rodez, Cesar Santalo, Patricia Sowers and Derek Wilson.

The exhibition examines shifting boundaries between the origins of creativity and American ingenuity. Sixteen artists with ties to South Florida; collectively create an interpretive, visual perspective for viewers to reflect on what it means to be “made” in the U.S.A., a question that resonates even more poignantly in today’s environment. The work ranges from figurative abstraction to sculptural hybrids of repurposed objects and two-dimensional work to video and performance art.
