Tibet House US, a Non-Profit arts/cultural organization, founded in New York (in 1987) by Columbia University Professor Robert Thurman, modern composer Philip Glass, actor Richard Gere and among others at the behest of the 14th His Holiness Dalai Lama.

Currently, we are accepting applications for interns/volunteers. Interns will (minimum 2 days per week) assist the Gallery director with duties:

—planning and production for upcoming exhibitions and events; outreach support

—long and short term research projects on artists and works in our collection, and general administrative support. This position may require off-site research around the city.


—BA,(MA preferred) in art history, museum studies, curatorial studies, or arts administration or equivalent work experience; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or other design programs.

—strong knowledge of Asian/Himalayan culture and art

—excellent writing skills; outstanding organization and research skills.
