A space without a use at IBID

I once blogged about an exhibition by the artist Amir Mogharabi at Ibid Projects, located at number 35 on the salubrious Hoxton Square; it provoked the most comments I’d ever received, promoting a fierce debate about the venue – anonymous readers argued it was ‘pretentious rubbish’, ‘tawdry’, and others protested it was ‘sublime’. Defiantly Worth a Try: Portraits of Soulful Subjects and Secondary Objects

        Olivier Richon’s Anima(l) is a bit like internet dating. At first it’s offsetting; what exactly is happening here, you wonder. Is this modern and progressive, or just weird? Yet for some reason you’re vastly intrigued, mesmerized even. You feel that, if given proper thought, this little bit of bizarre might conceal something quite special.
