Lion and Lamb Gallery
London N1 6LG
The Lion & Lamb gallery promotes contemporary painting and is situated ‘within’ a friendly typical East London pub owned by Tanya Ryan and Niall Gallagher, a few minutes walk from Hoxton Square. The context of a white exhibition space within a pub is a brave, radical and unique approach to the presentation and engagement of contemporary painting, whereby the world of the gallery is in constant flux with the world of a pub at any given moment.
The Lion and Lamb is a unique opportunity for painters to curate painting shows: perhaps visual essays or a kind of platform where artists can examine current practices in painting, take works from their usual contexts and experiment with new juxtapositions.
