DESCRIPTION

An exhibition, script and event by David Berridge.

Featuring a project by COMPULSIVE HOLDING (Hyun Jin Cho and David Johnson) with guest curator David Berridge

Beginning with a misunderstanding, GUESS WORK GUEST WORK became a notebook, a file endlessly updated, a form of notation and script, an installation, an event, a soundscape, an invitation to other artists, and continues to mutate. In the process, curatorial practice merges with a poetic-literary-artistic practice, and a history of exhibition making becomes absorbed into handwriting and conversation, to new, uncertain and possibly conflictual ends.

The project also includes WRITING EXHIBITIONS, a one day lab on connections on writing and exhibition making, Friday Nov 27th, 10.30-5.30pm.
