DESCRIPTION

freshfacedandwildeyed09 marks the second in our annual exhibitions that recognises the immense breadth and dynamism of graduate and post-graduate photographic work emerging from collleges and universities across the UK each year.

All of the exhibiting artists and photographers in freshfacedandwildeyed09 have completed their UK-based course in visual arts in the last year and use photography as a primary component of their practice.

This year's participants have been selected by

Joy Gregory, photographer, Magda Keany, Assistant Curator Photographs, National Portrait Gallery, Brett Rogers, Director, The Photographers’ Gallery and Ossian Ward, Visual Arts Editor, Time Out London.

Selected artists are: Jonathan Baggaley, Benjamin Beker, Petros Chrisostomou, Eleanor Cleasby, Lucy Dawkins, Teresa Eng, Kathryn Faulkner, Leonora Hamill, Aileen Harvey, Hannah Hewett, Alexandra Hughes, Nae Bunthita Indhawong, Jessica Layton, Martina Lindqvist, Ellen Nolan, Tom Pope, Wendy Pye, Tomoko Sakanishi, Grace Schwindt, Nishant Shukla, Anthony Wallace, Michael Whelan and Dave Wyatt.

The exhibition will be presented in our gallery spaces and at www.photonet.org.uk/freshfacedandwildeyed09, enabling audiences across the UK access to view the latest emerging UK based talents.
