Fine Art Lecture: Garry Neill Kennedy
London SW11 4AS
"We will not make any more boring art colleges," wrote Garry Neill Kennedy, adapting a well-known sentence used by John Baldessari. Kennedy, an internationally acclaimed conceptual artist, was for 23 years the visionary president of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Kennedy will talk about his recent publication; The Last Art College: Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, 1968-1978 and the experimental and conceptual activities that made NSCAD an epicenter of art education and the conceptual art world in the 1960s.
