Silent Auction in Aid of the South London Gallery
In October 2011 the SLG is holding a silent auction to raise funds for its acclaimed artistic programme. In a year which has been, to the outside world, one of the SLG's most successful ever, behind-the-scenes it has proven to be one of the most challenging, with a building and programme which have doubled in size but with little additional revenue funding.
Once again, a number of artists have come to our aid and this year's sale is of a small number of desirable works. This includes a new watercolour by Turner Prize nominee George Shaw, sculptures by Gabriel Kuri who is showing at the gallery from 29 September to 27 November, a work by Alice Channer who has a solo show at the SLG in March 2012, and a limited edition by Omer Fast.
You can view and bid for works online and at the SLG from 11am on Tuesday 11 October until 5pm on Sunday 16 October.
With thanks also to Hauser & Wirth.
Please note that viewing and bidding now commences on 11 October, not 8 October, as previously advertised.
