DESCRIPTION

Sculptor, photographer and acquisitor Richard Wentworth’s exhibition is his response to the traditional cabinet of curiosities. With the word ‘fiscal’ hidden in its title the work explores ideas of currency, exchange and the treasury in a cabinet containing examples of string, both natural and manmade, brought to the Gallery by manufacturers, artists, collectors and hobbyists. A series of string-inspired talks and events promise to unravel yarns and tie up loose ends.
