The Outset/Frieze Art Fair Fund is a charitable foundation focused on supporting new art, and enables Tate to buy important work by emerging artists at the fair for the national collection.
Tate will announce details of the works which have been acquired at this year’s Frieze Art Fair through the Outset/Frieze Art Fair Fund to benefit the Tate Collection at a special event at Tate Britain on Thursday 17 October 2013. The Fund enables Tate to buy important work by emerging artists for the national collection at the fair.
The 2013 Outset/Frieze London Fund guest selectors are Tobias Ostrander, Chief Curator of the Miami Art Museum and Beatrix Ruf, Director of the Kunsthalle, Zurich. They will be joined by Tate curators Ann Gallagher, Head of Collections, British Art; Frances Morris, Head of Collections, International Art; Tanya Barson, Curator, International Art and Clarrie Wallis, Curator, Contemporary British Art.
