My handmade paper constructions are a conglomeration of sculptural shapes, drawings and found objects. I made paper in Japan to create this bodry of work. Using the ancient method of Japanese paper was in itself, a bewitching and beautiful experience. Some color may be added to the water as I lift the screen from the vat of wet mulberry pulp to turn and release onto a flat bed was a  dance movemnt to execute as I released the pulp onto a flat bed. Then, taking the wet pulp I manipulated it  by crunching, tearing and wrenching it into dimensional shapes and dried. By selecting some of the shapes i proceeded  to assemble shapes and forms together with pins. Then taking these demensional shapes I continue to attach a variety of foruitous materials to the work. This unique medium has allowed me to express, with assorted objects and the connective sensuality of fiber, allowed me to reveal to the contemporary viewer new feelings as well as age-old nostalic ones that are carried forth through the beauty of paper
