DESCRIPTION

Julia Schwartz talks about her current exhibit at Bleicher/Golightly.

Inspired by her many years working as a Psychoanalyst, Julia Schwartz uses color, texture, line, and composition to reveal the subjective world of her figures. Julia primarily works in acrylic, oil, gauze, wax, and marble dust to create her silhouetted, shadow figures and fleshy nudes, in order to strip down the outer, intellectual layers of surface reactions, and reach deeper expression.
