Distinction Gallery Presents:

"Curious Reminiscence"

A two-artist event featuring works by Aaron Jasinski and Josh Taylor that runs from May 13 - April 2, 2010.

Distinction Gallery continues its grand tradition of exposing the most talented artists to the Southern California region by featuring a two artist showing entitled, "Curious Reminiscence." The two artists share a common theme of fantastical illustrations, but are differentiated by varying styles and techniques. The opening reception with the artists and live music will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 from 6-11 PM.  Wine and Karl Strauss beer will be provided for those over 21, and live music will be preformed by the "Templates," so we hope you will join us in celebrating this exceptional showing.

In addition, Distinction Gallery houses 14 artist studios featuring 20+ local artists whose work will also be available for viewing. Also, please feel free browse our new collection of art books and toys we have for purchase and don't hesitate to inquire about Distinction's custom framing services.

The Artists:

Aaron Jansinki

Aaron Jasinski is an artist, designer, and musician. His work has been featured internationally, from Los Angeles to Anchorage, Hong Kong to Rome. Aaron paints surreal scenes incorporating pop culture and nostalgic imagery with oils and acrylics. Music and visual art are his twin mistresses that keep him producing at a frenetic pace. He lives near Seattle Washington where rain, fog, family, and some dang good Pad Thai keep his imagination fertile.

Josh Taylor

Josh Taylor graduated with honors from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 2002.  Taylor has shown his work worldwide in such places as Los Angeles, Berlin, New York, Tampa, Manila, and Paris. Clients include Grind King, Adio Footwear, Super Rad Toys, and BBDO West. He currently resides in Vermont where he is working on a series of graphic novels entitled Bird & Girl.

Distinction is a 7000 square foot building which houses a gallery and 14 artist studios ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet. The Gallery features contemporary and cutting edge art work with a soft focus on Urban Surrealism. Distinction exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists and is located at: 317 East Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025.
