Luis De Jesus, founder and director of Luis De Jesus Seminal Projects in San Diego, is very pleased to announce the reopening of the gallery and its new name--Luis De Jesus Los Angeles--at 2525 Michigan Avenue, Bergamot Station, Space F2, in Santa Monica, California.


Luis De Jesus Los Angeles will inaugurate its new space and location on Saturday, March 6, 2010 with a solo exhibition of new paintings in the main gallery by DANIEL TIERNEY. An opening reception will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The adjacent gallery will feature a group exhibition of photo-based works including photography, sculpture, collage, and video. Participating artists include David Adey, Lael Corbin, Brian Dick, Laurel Nakadate, Federico Solmi, and Claude Zervas.

Luis De Jesus Los Angeles represents emerging and mid-career artists, including: David Adey, Chris Barnard, Miyoshi Barosh, Lael Corbin, Brian Dick, Nathan Gluck, Glenna Jennings, Heather Martin, Gail Roberts, Jason Sherry, and Claude Zervas.

Since 2007 the gallery (as Seminal Projects) has featured a very diverse and exciting group of artists in solo and group exhibitions, including Seth Augustine, Jack Balas, Chris Ballantyne, Graham Caldwell, Jennifer Coates, Jeff Colson, Martin Durazo, Deanna Erdmann, Jill Geigerich, Steven Gibson, Marcelino Goncalves, Aldo Guerra, Wolfgang Hastert, Maya Hayuk, Thom Heileson, David Humphrey, Takashi Kawashima, Margie Livingston, Hugo Lugo, May-ling Martinez, Gretchen Mercedes, Mark Mulroney, Laurel Nakadate, Chauney Peck, Jon Pylypchuk, Andy Ralph, Daniel Ruanova, Andrew Schoultz, Michael Smith, Geoffrey Todd-Smith, Allison Wiese, and many others.
