ALMARAZ / LEGACY, an exhibition of over 80 works selected from the Estate of Carlos Almaraz, is curated  by Patrick Ela and Elsa Flores Almaraz. The  exhibition celebrates the insights, contributions  and influenc of  this  remarkable  artist   whose  talents have  only   grown  more  significant   and recognized  in  the two decades  since  his  death.

ALMARAZ / LEGACY  features many works that have never been displayed in public exhibitions. These include a large selection  of  original  watercolors, ink drawings,  gouaches  and pastels  as well as more familiar examples  of graphic works that have become increasingly  rare since the artist's death.

Works by Carlos Almaraz are featured  in the permanent collections of several museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the National Museum of American Art; the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution;  the  Grunwald Center for Graphic Arts, University of California, Los Angeles; Otis / Parsons Art Institute; Museum de Arte Contemporaneo, Monterrey, Mexico; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the San Jose Museum of Art; the Mexican Museum, San Francisco; the Laguna Art Museum; the Alburquerque Cultural Center; and the Honolulu Museum of Contemporary Art.
