A Day in the Life: Freedom and Fashion
Human trafficking is an issue that affects many of the vital industries in our world today. In particular, this form of modern day slavery plays an important role in the fashion world. It is an ugly side to a glamorous business as it exploits factory workers and enslaves children. Freedom and Fashion is an organization that focuses on educating the public on these matters of injustice as well as promoting fair trade companies.
CAC Art Series’ second installment of “A Day in the Life” will host Freedom and Fashion’s art exhibit in order to shed some light on the global issue of human trafficking. The exhibit will open on November 9, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. and will run until Nov. 13, 2009 at the Kerckhoff Art Gallery. Come enjoy inspirational artwork and learn more about how you can “make a purchase for positive change”. This exhibit is a prelude to the Fair Trade Fashion & Trade
Show on Thursday, Nov. 9 in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom. Learn more about Freedom and Fashion’s fight against human trafficking at their website: http://freedomandfashion.com/
