DESCRIPTION
(Santa Monica, CA.) 18th Street Arts Center is pleased to present Sandra de la Loza, the third Artist Fellow in our Project Room for 2009.  On Saturday, August 1 from 6-10pm Sandra will begin, The Revolution Will…Los Angeles 2019.
 
The Revolution Will…looks towards the not so distant future of Los Angeles, to discuss the potential of art and cultural production as generative forces in radical social transformation. The project will also host a series of encounters and discussions entitled The Revolution Will... bringing together individuals from diverse sectors to interface on topics such as environmentalism, labor and alternative economies, and the future of cultural production.
 
18th Street Arts Center is an internationally known alternative arts center whose mission is “to provoke public dialogue through contemporary art making.”

Gallery hours are Monday – Friday 10am-6pm. 18th Street Arts Center is located at 1639 18th Street, Santa Monica, off Olympic Blvd.
