Artists Reception for MOPLA Tuesday April 7th 6:00 pm until 9:00pm

Known for his recent Polaroid images of Los Angeles, Jim McHugh has been photographing common things in an uncommon manner for over thirty years. This collection of his work spans Europe, Asia as well as America and reflects the varied and changing threads of the photographer’s ever changing life.

In 2008, Jim won the Paris Prix De La Photographie for Architectural Fine Art Photography.  Photokina 2008/Innova Digital Art’s exhibition, “Just One More,” held in Cologne, Germany included McHugh portraits of visual artist David Hockney, Andy Warhol and Ansel Adams as well as performing artists Samuel L. Jackson, Sir Anthony Hopkins and B.B. King.

This year – his “The Las Palmas Hotel” was acquired by the George Eastman House for its permanent collection in Rochester, NY.  Jim McHugh is currently a Contributing Photographer to Architectural Digest.
