DESCRIPTION

A series of displays, exhibits, activities, performances, situations, and confusion conceived, curated, and disorganized by Jacob Robichaux with collaborators Beth Houfek and Dean Spunt. Presented and hosted by Artist Curated Projects (Eve Fowler) and 3 Days Awake (Lindsay August-Salazar) with contributions by and appropriations of numerous others including Josh Blackwell, Ian Cooper, Jenni Crain, Jack Falanga, Daphne Fitzpatrick, Rachel Foullon, Sam Gordon, Bruno Grizzo, Kate Hall, Rachel Howe, Mark Jacobs, Martin Keehn, Svetlana Kitto, Shaun Krupa, Oliver Laric, Siobhan Liddell, Mary Manning, Larry Mantello, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Monique Mouton, Adam Putnam, Mariah Robertson, Sara Saltzman, Matt Savitsky, Sarah Soquel Morhaim, Small Spells, Dean Spunt, Allison Smith, Lizzie Wright, and Sacha Yanow.

...transporting, building, collecting, tying, delivering, using, giving, lending, exercising, unpacking, borrowing, discovering, rolling, projecting, sorting, talking, engaging, running, mailing, worrying, scheduling, cutting, renting, unfolding, avoiding, buying, offering, describing, meditating, pushing, creating, laboring, filming, playing, burning, thinking, listening, running, shipping, procrastinating, sharing, and other generative, durational acts unknown and yet to be determined...

Jacob Robichaux is a multidisciplinary artist represented by American Contemporary (New York). He has exhibited widely at galleries including Chez Valentin (Paris); D’Amelio Terras (New York); Museum 52 (New York and London); Horton Gallery (New York); and Artist Curated Projects (Los Angeles). Robichaux has also performed at numerous venues including (MoMA/PS1); Jack Hanley (New York); The Mandrake (Los Angeles); and Café Dancer (New York). As a visiting artist and critic he has lectured at Parsons School of Design; Rhode Island School of Design; Pratt Institute; and the Center for Art and Culture, Aix-en-Provence, France.

Beth Houfek is a designer and artist living in Los Angeles. Most recently she was an assistant designer at Saint Laurent where she developed and curated projects for books, textiles, and prints with contemporary artists including Guy de Cointet; Matt Connors; Theodora Allen; and Sumi Ink Club. She has performed at numerous venues including Pomona College (Claremont); The Mandrake (Los Angeles); and Andrew Edlin Gallery (New York).

Dean Allen Spunt is a musician and artist from Los Angeles. He runs his Post Present Medium record label and is one half of the the band/project NO AGE who have toured the world and played such venues as MoMA (New York); the ICA (London); and the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles). His solo performances have been performed at multiple venues including the ICA (Philadelphia); Public Fiction (Los Angeles); Performa 13 (New York); Kunsthalle Athena (Athens); and 356 Mission Rd. (Los Angeles).
