DESCRIPTION

Robert Erdmann studied the History of Photography at Princeton University and went on to assist Helmut Newton, among other photographers, before moving to Italy to work as a stylist. In 1984, Erdmann relocated to London where he established himself as a fashion photographer and also shot many musicians such as Iggy Pop, Kylie Minogue, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Simply Red and Bananarama for magazines such as i-D and The Face.


Now based in Los Angeles, his portfolio includes images of Heidi Klum, Ann Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Cameron Diaz, Catherine Zeta Jones, Cate Blanchett, Mila Kunis, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aquilera, Gwen Stefani, Ashton Kutcher, Julianne Moore and Keira Knightley. 



Robert's photography has appeared in publications such as Vogue, W, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Esquire, Details, Interview, and Vanity Fair. His advertising clients include 20th Century Fox, Disney, Emporio Armani, DKNY, Hermes, Nokia, Cover Girl, L’Oreal, Pantene, Revlon and Oil of Olay.


The Iris Nights lecture series, is a free public program offered free of charge, by online reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. The series brings to life the most current exhibit with presentations by exhibit featured photographers and other notable experts and guest artists, and takes place at the Annenberg Space for Photography Skylight Studios, located directed across the park from the Photography Space.

Don't be discouraged if you are unable to get tickets through our online ticketing system. The standby list for each lecture begins at 5pm on the day of the event in person at Skylight Studios. About 10 minutes prior to the start of the lecture, we release any seats that have not been claimed by ticketholders to our standby guests.
