DESCRIPTION

Tony Duran has worked his way from his Mid-Western upbringing to the forefront of celebrity and fashion photography. Duran has shot for a plethora of magazines culminating in iconic photographic relationships with superstars Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt to name just a very few.

Duran’s sensual and graphic style resonates whatever the subject matter.  An Oscar-winning actress, well-designed furniture, or a young upstart model in French couture could all be viable subjects for his lens. Strength, beauty, and sensuality are always in the forefront. Duran’s work is often provocative without crossing the line into distasteful. His ability to redefine and recreate imaging of well-documented subjects has put Duran’s work in his very own category. Duran will discuss his journey as an artist that led him to land in Los Angeles, the place where he developed his eye and style, and where his career actually began.

The Iris Nights lecture series, is a free public program offered free of charge, by online reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. The series brings to life the most current exhibit with presentations by exhibit featured photographers and other notable experts and guest artists, and takes place at the Annenberg Space for Photography Skylight Studios, located directed across the park from the Photography Space.

Don't be discouraged if you are unable to get tickets through our online ticketing system. The standby list for each lecture begins at 5pm on the day of the event in person at Skylight Studios. About 10 minutes prior to the start of the lecture, we release any seats that have not been claimed by ticketholders to our standby guests.

The box office for this event opens Wednesday, July 3 at 12pm PT and Thursday, July 4 at 9:30am
