DESCRIPTION

Copro Gallery presents artist, Leslie Ditto's second solo show with Copro titled "Humanity Lost". This body of work focuses on the sometimes dreadful treatment of animals by humans. Somwhere down the line our humanity is lost and we ponder the course of the human race in relation to the treatment of all living things.

Leslie Ditto was born in Memphis, TN where she attended Overton High School for the performing and visual arts. Leslie was accepted to Otis Parsons Art schol in 1988, but only breifly attended due to a terminal illness in her family. She would go on to teach herself how to paint inspired by the tradition of the "Old Masters" such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rubens, Raphael, and Rembrandt. These strong influences, as well as a love for modern fantasy and surreal art, all contributed to her current style of painting.
