This exhibition explores the discourse that contemporary artists have with their interpersonal and with their collective roots, though the Art and Process. The creation of Art becomes a reflective remembrance of the primal: Magna Mater, the Great Mother Goddess, who is Nature itself. Through out space and time she has been revered in many forms. Sometimes called Gaia, she is eternal, prehistoric, and life energy itself. The art exhibited will delve into the mysteries of the soul, ultimately the artist through the journey of her/his work must remember to be rooted in the body, in the earth. As the Earth is being ravaged by humanity, there are glimmers of hope, this exhibit is a gentle reminder that we are all connected to Earth, and for our species to survive we must awaken, revere, and repair our intrinsic relationship with Her.
