Artists questioning myth, origin and the everyday through didactic and trompe-l'oeil aesthetic strategies. Through various mediums --from photography, video, computer animation, sculpture, performance to painting and drawing the artists in this show's aesthetic responses documents, highlighting and representing aspects of our culture. Their point addresses both the everyday and the historic. Authenticity? examines how artists continue to create context and conversation in art through both the Duchampian ready-made and a Warholian brand of trompe-l'oeil --Pop Art, which aims to respond to and document culture.
