DESCRIPTION

Hadid Gallery Presents the solo exhibition of Paul Rusconi's newest collection Words & Phrases.

West Hollywood, CA Aug.18, 2012. - The Hadid Gallery debuts a new collection Words & Phrases from controversial and renowned artist Paul Rusconi. Using the medium of nail polish, Rusconi attempts in this exhibition to capture moments of the culture, tradition and trend of language and spoken word. Some of the paintings have a digital screen outline... but all the words are created by applying nail polish by hand without the use of a hard edge or moveable stencil of any kind.

Rusconi's art is not for the faint of heart, with a piece that reads "Jesus is not a Republican" and its sister piece reading "God is" there is room for interpretation farther in reach than aesthetics or politics, but what is art? and is this it?. Paul Rusconi is not afraid of this question nor is Hadid Gallery.
