DESCRIPTION

Sue Williams is a New York-based painter who has had solo exhibitions at the Carpenter Center, Harvard University, Cambridge; IVAM, Valencia, Spain; Secession, Vienna, Austria; and Centre d’Art Contemporain, Geneva. Select group exhibitions include Keeping It Realat Whitechapel Gallery, London; Visceral Bodies, Vancouver Art Gallery; Rebelle: Art and Feminism 1969-2009, Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem, Netherlands;Comic Abstraction: Image Breaking, Image Making, Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the Whitney Biennials 1997, 1995, and 1993. Her exhibition at Regen Projects, Los Angeles, opens on November 10.
