DESCRIPTION

Bleicher Gallery La Brea is pleased to join in celebration of Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980. Though the gallery’s official PST exhibits don’t begin until early 2012 the gallery is kicking off with a preview of artists that will be included in the PST schedule and other artists from the 1945-1980’s era.

Pacific Standard Time is a Pacific cultural collaboration beginning this fall and continuing through spring 2012. Initiated through grants from the Getty Foundation, a selection of galleries in Culver City, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and the Greater Los Angeles area will participate and showcase works made during (or inspired by) the era, from the years immediately after World War II through the turbulent 1960s and 70s.

Participating artists will be showcasing selected upcoming works that connect with the Pacific Standard Time Initiative, as well as the development of the L.A. art scene circa 1945-80.
