The Venice Art Crawl, a monthly event that continues every third Thursday of each month in Venice is back in full swing. It runs from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm, however, some events go later. The summer months infused new energy into this art event.


Ocean Blue is excited to be part of this monthly event and will feature several artists. There will also be live painting and live music, wine, beer, refreshments and snacks,

Artists include, Grant Buckerfield, Ray McCray, Sona Mirzaei, Rachel Rubenstein and more as well as Live music with the Geoffrey J.


Visual artist, Grant Buckerfield has participated many times in the art crawl. Having a distinct visual vocabulary, Grant draws influence from street art, fine art, pop art, conceptualism, abstraction, and architecture. Grant’s canvases, large or small, are bright, defined, and energized.


Catch Rachel Rubenstein doing some live painting. Rachel’s work incorporates uber texture and intense color, creating dynamic pieces that explore perspective, perception, and movement.


Artist Ray Mc Cray (image) works with a verity of media to construct abstract and representational collages. He will bring a selection of works and splash a painting or two.


Contemporary artist, Sona Mirzaei is a true visionary and her passion for art transcends the competitive nature of the international art scene. Sona sincerely desires to help others appreciate the beauty and potential of their own surroundings by adding unique artwork that complements their individual personality. Her work is timeless and reflects a hybrid of depth, emotion, and aesthetic appeal that always leaves one wanting to see more of what Sona has to offer.


Geoffrey J. (image, right) will also be performing his original music. This singer/songwriter is incredibly talented. His melodies range from roots rock to folk. His songs offer a large amount of passion for such a young performer. His melodies are  upbeat, memorable and consistently entertaining.


Ocean Blue is a funky store that sells jewelry, gems, candles and all kinds of neat trinkets is located at 1313 Ocean Front Walk right on the beach, the cross street is Horizon Ave., one block south of Westminster Ave.
