DESCRIPTION

Meet LA artist Robert Hickland and enjoy his creative mastery at the Black Cat Gallery solo exhibit & reception, for one night only.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:  As a child, LA artist Robert Hickland suffered the near total loss of his sight, an experience that led him to perceive the concept of vision in a unique way.  Today, Hickland's  unique vision inspires celebrated novelist Ann Rice, "Battlestar Galactica" director Michael Rymer, and writer/director Joan Tewkesbury to be among the many collectors of his fine art.   Hickland's painting, "Jackals among the Ruins", was also chosen by Garrett White, former curator of the famed Whitney Museum of American Art, for inclusion in the 2007 anthology "Nash Editions: Photography and the Art of Digital Printing".  For more information on Robert Hickland, visit www.roberthicklandart.com.
