\nART LA offers an informed cross section of contem porary art trends happening\nfrom Tokyo to Berlin with a focus on Los Angel es-based artists and galleries.\nThe fair showcases 64 top established and emerging galleries from three\ncontinents\, over half of which are particip ating for the first time. The\ngalleries represent the most compelling and challenging work being created in\nart centers including Berlin\, London\, Mexico City\, New York\, Paris\, and Tokyo\,\nand over half of the gallerie s participating are based in Los Angeles. ART LA\ntakes place at Santa Moni ca Civic Auditorium\, in conjunction with the 50th\nanniversary of the buil ding.

ART LA 2008 exhibition hours a re Friday\, January 25 and Saturday\, January\n26 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p .m. and Sunday\, January 27\, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00\np.m. Tickets are $15 for a one-day pass and $25 for a three-day pass\, and are\navailable for p urchase at the door.

The ART LA 2008 Patron Preview and Op ening Preview will be held Thursday\,\nJanuary 24\, 2008 and benefit the Ha mmer Museum's Hammer Project Series. The\nPatron Preview is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the Opening Preview follows\nfrom 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets for the Patron Preview are $150 in advance\nand $200 at the door\, while tickets to the Opening Preview are $50.
